It's always hard to lose a loved one, but we can help to make the process a little easier for you. We are ideally situated a 2 minute drive away from the Crematorium near Thatcham, we can offer hot or cold buffets, funeral teas, sit down meals, or simply a venue for raising a glass to your loved one. Our experienced event planner will work with you and our Head Chef is happy to create a tailor made menu to meet your needs.
INDOOR SPACE
Our larger restaurant area comfortably holds 35 people and we have a separate area - smaller restaurant where we can fit about 18 people. We also have a space in the bar/lounge area with comfortable sofas. There is an option to hire a whole pub which would comfortably hold up to 70 people with the bar area included.
OUTDOOR SPACE
Our GARDEN holds up to 70-80 and a covered pergola approx. 30 people. We have a roof on our pergola which should do a good job of keeping rain out and also have a plastic sides for it so that we can do even more to keep you dry!
We offer private hire, semi-private hire and large tables during normal service, so please do just give us a call to find out more!
For better service and comfort of our customers and staff, every table of 8 and more would be required to pre-order. Prices for the Special Events are based on individual requirements of each booking.

ALLERGIES - we always do our best to adapt our food in response to dietary requirements. We are happy to prepare Gluten Free option for £5 supplement.

Prices include VAT at 20% and are subject to change.
Deposit: We will ask for a non-refundable deposit (usually 25% of the entire bill) to secure
the booking and must be confirmed by email.
A discretionary 10% service charge is added to your bill for groups of 10 and more.

CAR PARK
We have ample parking to the side of the pub as well as the front for 25 plus cars and there is a massive lay by just up the road if there are more cars.
ROOM HIRE FEES (updated on 11th March 2024)- !!! - NO ROOM HIRE FEE for bookings between - 5th - 30th April 2024, Monday - Friday until 6pm only.
The offer does not apply to Friday after 6pm, Saturday and Sunday bookings.
Monday, Tuesday - Open for PRIVATE EVENTS ONLY with minimum spend £500 for a time slot 4 hours.
Wednesday - Friday until 6pm -
£50 for a small room (right hand side of the bar) with max capacity of 18 guests
£100 for a large room (left hand side of the bar) with max capacity of 35 guests.
The whole indoor space (Small, large, lounge and bar area with max capacity of 65-70) is for £200 for 4 hours time slot.
Friday after 6pm and Saturday -
£80 for a small room (right hand side of the bar) with max capacity of 18 guests
£150 for a large room (left hand side of the bar) with max capacity of 35 guests.
The whole indoor space (Small, large, lounge and bar area with max capacity of 65-70) is for £250 for 4 hours time slot.
Sunday -
£120 for a small room (right hand side of the bar) with max capacity of 18 guests.
£200 for a large room (left hand side of the bar) with max capacity of 35 guests.
